Virtual CLE Program: Perspectives from Bench and Bar on the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act

1.00 Hr CLE Available

The Forum and Hicks Thomas LLP invite you to join us for a Virtual CLE Program on Wednesday, October 20th. This program will generally describe the DTSA and survey some of the more salient aspects of the statute and how various court decisions have shaped the utility of the statute for protection of trade secrets, and the prosecution of civil cases seeking remedies for theft of such information.  Additional discussion will include the pros and cons of pursuing cases under the DTSA as opposed to the Texas Uniform Trade Secret Act, tips on how to make the most of the remedies under the statute and thoughts from a sitting federal district court judge (who, before taking the bench, was an accomplished trade secrets practitioner), on the pretrial seizure remedies provided by the DTSA.
