Virtual CLE Program: Legal and National Security Issues with Foreign Investment in Technology Companies

1.00 Hr CLE Available

The Forum and Foley & Lardner, LLP invite you to join us for a Virtual CLE Program on Wednesday, June 8th. The technology boom in Texas is in full swing. Tech startups often draw the interest of foreign investors. Before proceeding, in-house lawyers need to consider the national security ramifications. In particular, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, or CFIUS, has rules and requirements about when it and how it should be notified about foreign investment or acquisitions. Tech companies that are subject to CFIUS jurisdiction may not even know it. This program will provide an introduction to CFIUS for in-house counsel and give practical pointers about whether and when CFIUS needs to be notified about investments and acquisitions.

Gold Underwriter Host:

At the request of our in-house members, the Forum is offering high quality CLE programming hosted by our Gold Underwriters to help members secure their annual CLE requirements.
