MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Only General Counsel and Managing Counsel of substantial companies, non-profits, and government agencies are eligible for membership. Managing Counsel must report to the General Counsel and manage at least one attorney.
 

Basic Benefits 

  • Complimentary admission to Chapter Quarterly Events (nationally and locally), where expert speakers and panelists share their knowledge and answer questions.  These events are usually held in conjunction with breakfast or lunch.
  • Complimentary admission to other networking events, such as GC Roundtable Luncheons, Forum After Hours cocktail parties held at a prominent member’s home, Forum Women luncheons and dinners, and sports events.
  • Online video library of Chapter Quarterlies and Conference sessions (most with CLE credit available).
  • Online member directory for peer-to-peer networking.
  • Free one-year subscription to InsideCounsel, the nationally published management monthly for in-house legal executives.
  • Acess to local Chapter's LinkedIn Group (DFW and Houston).
  • Access to the Forum Ramp within the Legal OnRamp community.
  • Upon nomination and election, participation on a chapter or the statewide Board and/or committee, where Forum policies and programs are shaped.

Extended Benefits 

  • Admission to the annual Conference of General Counsel, a one-day seminar of speakers and panelists on timely topics and key issues of interest to managing legal professionals, held each November in San Antonio, Texas.
  • Invitation to chapter special events, such as golf tournaments and special programs..
